TWO Phoenix Reporters to Fox Weather

tvspy.com is reporting that Nicole Valdes of KNXV and Max Gorden of KTVK/KPHO will be heading to the new Fox Weather. They will both be reporting on developing weather stories.

With weather information as close as your phone/PC/subnet why does anyone think a dedicated channel for weather is a good idea?

Assuming Fox thinks they can beat the Weather Channel, which people still turn to during major weather events.

I just look at the weather radar through the azfamily or 12news app. Last week, I tried the weather channel, but they were showing one of their "weather stories" shows during our monsoon storm -- not helpful!

WeatherNation still holds up well without WC's bells and whistles or the reality crap. I think I'd trust WN before I trust weather reported through the Fox filter.

Sorry to see Nicole Valdes leave Ch. 15. I contend that she's one of the best "under 30" reporters I've seen in the Phoenix area over the last ten years. Wishing her the best with her future endeavor.
