two things

1)I am working with a CRL APP300 and need to know how the internal four way dip switch processing functions...anybody know? Couldn't find any reference in the 21 page copy of the manual.....
2)anyone have experience either way using ScotchBrite to clean contacts/etc?

thanks

Try De-Oxit D5 spray for any funny contacts.
Very few things in this world seem like magic, but D5 is one of them.
Maybe 15 dollars a can in the "normal" size but that should last quite a while...it takes very little to do the job.
Radio Shack used to carry the teensy size cans of D5.

The website is there and active. I have the manual already. there is no reference to the S1, S2, S3 and S4 functions in the dip switch on setting. Anybody remember?
It isn't input level, that's variable with the pot in back....The output is a three way toggle in front...-10, 0, and +10...This unit appears to have some kind of lock in place...no movement at all on the output three way pot or the G/R 4 way pot...but that's another conversation.
As to cleaning contacts, a friend mentioned a transmitter company suggesting ScotchBrite to clean up the path you slide power amp module in and out of...I had never heard of that....has any one else?

again thanks

From what I remember, those switches controlled the expander circuit and the time constants of the leveling action. S4 controlled turned the expander on/off and there was a pot inside to adjust it somewhere around -40dB.

I would play around with S1-S3 and see what difference it makes on the sound of the unit.
