Re: Two \
If I recall correctly, Tony resigned a few months after he got taken off WBZ's 6pm newscast(I think it was '81) when ch.5's Chet and Nat took the lead in the local TV news ratings. He never walked out in the middle of a newscast or anything like that. I think he ended up on WRKO a year later co-hosting morning drive with Janet Jaghelian(sp?).
You may be thinking of Jimmy Myers who is now with WTKK on Saturdays or Sundays. He literally bolted from Ch. 4's set during a live weekend newscast(in '79 or '80). He was very upset he didn't get the promotion to weeknight sports anchor which went to Lobel. Jimmy said what he had to say, flipped his mic and walked right off the set. That's Jimmy being Jimmy.
Time Traveler said:I remember Tony Pepper from Channel 4, in the 70s, but was long gone from the area when he apparently walked out. What station did he walk out of and what were the circumstances?
