HLLY TX99A 7 watts works great! Does not like the 24 bit 192khz creative/soundblaster audio cards in stereo.mono works fine. Realtek and other cheapie cards work fine @ 192 in stereo, just sound-blaster have problems. Haven't tried the SB/Live cards.
Transmitter is factory set @ 50 pre-emph, I just used the sound-card controls to compensate. Impressive sound this transmitter makes.

Here's some answers to the requests for more info on tx 99a....sorry if it sounds like review.

1. no you cannot switch the pre-emph. factory set @ 50, didn't see the option when I ordered it.
2. yes it is a stereo or mono transmitter push a button. RCA input jacks.
3. I use xp compatible sound cards.
4. The Audigy 2 zs soundblaster @ 192 sample rate just static @ 96 noisy @ 48good all in stereo mode in transmitter, m-audio @192 works fine on-board audio @ 192 works fine and clean even my Ipod and Lg phone sounds better than s/b cards. In mono s/b cards sound great. Why? I have no idea. I do but don't wanna get into it.
5. The transmitter has an non adjustable audio pre-amp.+/- digital freq 88.5-108mhz,10khz adjustment 4 memory preset user programmable.
6. The antenna is for indoors only, it is adjustable,basically a portable radio type antenna, telescopic? 1ctr 4 radials with plastic tips.
I have not use this antenna, I have a comet 5/8 wave mounted 15 ft and some...incredible range despite all the hills. 5 miles at night in good stereo,7 in mono
7. Yes I may pay cash and part trade for a good filtered broadband amp 25-100 watt range, push pull type, low drive input,up to 48vdc 10 amps.
8.yea it's made in china, it's just a hobby, anyone else wanna have some fun?

Forgot to add ...You cannot adjust the output pwr. power out is 7 watts up to 100 mhz. at 107.5 mhz pwr is 5 watts with tuned ant.runs very cool, not heat at all. NO I have never looked inside of transmitter.
