Are there any Radio Towers under threat from the Los Alamos Fires?

Santa Fe NOAA weather radio is down. But so is ABQ so I don't know if that is the fires or not.

Only station that might be affected at this time is non-comm 101.1 in White Rock.

Turns out on a dial scan that 860 AM (despite a lot of "Praise the Lord") actually seemed to have the best coverage.

KKOB opened the phone lines but for some reasons the hosts did not engage any of the callers and actual information was lacking.

Last I heard the power lines were down and the Peralta Ridge Stations were on generator and worried about fuel.

Obviously it is too dangerous to send a truck full of diesel up there, but with that said Jim Garcia (if it can be done) will get it there.

I hope everyone stays safe and on the air!

Last I hear the Fire was heading in the direction of the towers...lets hope it stops God Bless all the men and women fighting this fire stay safe....

Gee these mexicans get around, McCain claimed Mexicans started the Arizona Fires, and now your father claims they then drove to Los Alamos and started the Los Alamos Fires. I suppose the first mexican immigrants started the great Chicago Fire of 1871, according to your G2, let's see don't tell me it was a mexican milking Mrs O'Leary's cow who started the Fire.

Well that story was made up to sell newspapers, but then again you probably went to the Michelle Bachmann-Sarah Palin school of US History.

The only report I saw as to what started the current Los Alamos Fire ...was probably a power line. Get a life.
