Tyler KYTX 19.3 Change

London has changed KYTX sub 19.3 from Azteca America to This TV. This TV was previously available in the market via KLTV 7.2 before switching to Bounce.

I am wondering if this is the beginning of other sub-channel changes to the London stations in Tyler. I have conjectured that Mundofox may be coming to a subchannel of KCEB. It would make sense now that Azteca America be moved to KCEB, along with the addition of Mundofox. With a single 480i stream of CW+, KCEB has almost unlimited capacity to add subs.

Since January, KLTV 7.2 dropped This-TV for Bounce. Later, either before or after that same month, KYTX 19.3 dropped Azteca and picked up This-TV from KLTV 7.2 (those that watched these channels on the converter boxes BEEN knowing that since then). While on the subject on sub-channels, Telemundo (via KLTV 7.3) is still thriving very well. I'm not too sure about KETK's sub at 56.2 (Estrella-TV). I never tackled on some of the Hispanic channels except maybe occasionally.

I am impressed about 19.2 change-up to MeTV after almost a three or four year run with MYTX-TX. What I hate about that channel, that at the top of the hour, the automation has a notorious habit of cutting off the remaining seconds of the original end credits and go straight to the local ID ("Come join us, come join us....) in which the network already provided that for them. Therefore, you have the the local ID followed by the network ID with the calls and city of license already there. The only time they can do that, they can run the local ID before going to Dr. Oz, the Rangers or Mavericks games and the overnight run of Jewelry TV. Whoever programmed it should have had that done that way without the abruptive cutoffs of the original end credits of classic shows
some 15 seconds early. Just a small bit of constructive criticism there.

London Broadcasting may have plans for putting in a network for 19.3. We'll just have to wait and see on that. KCEB is a good choice for having a sub-channel for Mundofox should they decide give it a go. Perhaps they can add Antenna TV to the sub line-up. That way you would have almost three sub-channels airing classic TV and movies.

KLTV 7.2 changed from This TV to Bounce on Jan 1, 2012. I was under the impression that the change on 19.3 from Azteca to This TV occured on June 1, 2012, but it may have occurred anytime after Jan. 1. I never watched 19.3 so had not noticed the change until Sunday. The Wikipedia article for KYTX still says Azteca on 19.3, and Tripinva's Rabbitears.info shows ThisTV on 19.3.

I fixed the Wikipedia page to show This TV for 19.3.

Looked around at KYTX's website, nothing remaining about Azteca America. Checked TitanTV's Tyler/Longview grid, it shows This on 19.3. The only thing I still see online is London's corporate site about Azteca America. That's not a complete surprise though, London has been historically/surprisingly slow to update their website whenever anything happens or changes.

KYTX sure gave it a good try with Azteca America on 19.3, especially being the only local station to have a local Spanish-language newscast.

That's right, but the online TV listing for Northland Cable in the Tyler area shows the logo for This TV on 7.2, not Bounce. Doesn't seem to be a priority since it's been that way for months.
