Tyler KYTX CBS-19 Sold

Wonder if the sale has anything to do with KYTX changing network affiliations, or will Channel 19 remain with CBS. And while Phil Hurley will realize at least some money out of the deal, what will happen to him as VP and General Manager of the station.

I don't watch the station that mujch. Has any mention been made on-air of the sale?

From the Tyler paper

http://www.tylerpaper.com/article/20071017/BUSINESS/71017029/-1/BUSINESS

According to this article, no word on any flipping affils, but Phil and John Gaston will stay in their current positions, plus Phil gets to play partner in the new London venture. The article is **very** upbeat, and mentions nothing about playing host to any future reality shows (or admonishment of previous ones) 8)

What did it change to?

Well, if it's a former Gaylord exec running things, I'd have to think it would stay CBS. Weren't most of Gaylord's stations CBS affiliates? He probably feels pretty comfortable with CBS, and CBS seems to be doing as well, or poorly, as the other networks right now. NBC and ABC have been worried about product decline for the last year or two, and Fox, while it has the Cowboys, probably wouldn't be much help for KYTX either.
