Tyler-Longview - The Breeze

I generally don't post to this.
But, 1041 The Ranch East Texas Classic Country isn't on syndication, Jones Network.
We got off of it March 20th 2006. That was my first thing to do as PD. Get off the
net, home grow the music for consistant programming. I saw MusicSweeps comment
about 104 on the bird, since no one jumped in, I thought I better. Defending the honor and such. Anyway, I do agree with comments about KTBB and its localism. Also, KDOK. I am a big fan. I think Paul, Mick and the boys there have done a great jock of repositioning KDOK over the past 3-4 years. From that doowop sound to its present incarnation. And, I do think we do good work at KKUS as well.

My comments about KKUS being on the bird were made in ignorance and were not intended to downgrade the honor of the station. :)

On the subject of the Breeze I do have to admire Bill Waller for taking chances with the station, he had nothing to loose, and he is filling a void in that market with top-40/CHR. There is an audience for that ! I wish the Wallers good luck with the "New Breeze"

Anybody know anything about Suzy on The Breeze? I've caught her on there a few Friday's and wow!!!...that girl's a train wreck!

Many years ago Susie was a DJ on KOOI and KEBE. Plus she is a sales manager with Waller so she probably volunteered. Give her some time to smooth it out, she hasn't been on the air in close to 10 years.

At some point all djs miss being on the air, and it takes a while to get back to being good. Especially in East Texas where you can have your smooth delivery tarnished by the slow southern draw/accent. OK I'm fixin to sign off ya'll have a good night. See even I can be contaminated by East Texas.
