Tyler Stand Off

An unfortunate situation developed in Tyler this afternoon when a man threatened to take his own life. He was inside the Hibbs Center, where
Access 1 is headquartered. The building was evacuated but no word if the A-1 air staff stayed put. The man held out against police for an hour before surrendering. Word is Access 1 DID NOT call in Dru to bond with the guy.

That is why the guy is still alive. Dru will make BOND for him.

No disrespect intended for either the victim in Longview or for the man in Tyler, but Dru's bonding failure rate is not encouraging at all. Dru is the proverbial disaster looking for a place to happen. Actually he has already happened, Access 1 is just trying to devise a damage control plan to counter his disastrous actions. A one-way bus ticket to Albuquerque comes to mind.

> Saw a television promo/tie in with Channel 7 Weather this evening. Danny and Dru are standing against a bare wall looking like Frick and Frak. Silly grins on their faces and looking rather scruffy. Thought for a moment the camera was turned on them too soon, while they were trying to bond. Not a good image for Channel 7's weather.

I know it wasn't the point of your post, but Access 1 is not in the Hibbs Center. That is where it was rumored they would move to, but they moved into some building downtown...the old Unclaimed Furniture building.

Now why is that appropriate for Dru? An"unclaimed furniture building"

What have the citizens of Albuguerque done to you? I suggest that plane fare be taken up and he be sent to an ice station in Antartica. There he could star in "March of the Penguins"2.

Mea culpa. I lost track of A-1's nomadic travels around Tyler looking for a place to roost. The "situation" was appropos, the location went astray.

Actually, your plan is much better. Albuquerque is basically a good town that doesn't deserve such a fate.

Now THAT is funny...I never really thought about that. HA!
