Tyra to End this Spring

The article mentions "best-of repeats" scheduled for the 2010-2011 TV season between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, but it doesn't mention a timezone since reruns and new shows are currently scheduled between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM Central time in that order. I would prefer new and old animated cartoons in the afternoon on the CW Television Network.

Didn't "Judge Jeannie Pirro" share CW afternoons with Tyra?

Yes, it aired before "The Tyra Banks Show" for one TV season before leaving the network for syndication.

Which answers my question... This was not, however, noted in the article when I posted, it was updated some twenty minutes later.

If Tyra originals weren't doing well why would Tyra re-runs???

They won't. But apparently the syndicator decided to give a big middle finger to the viewing public by continuing to offer up such dreck.

Then again, Wendy Williams makes Tyra look like Frontline by comparison....

In case anyone misunderstood my previous post, I would like to clarify myself: "Judge Jeanine Pirro" aired for one TV season on the CW Television Network along with reruns of "The Jamie Foxx Show" and "The Wayans Bros." in the afternoon before "The Tyra Banks Show" moved from syndication to the network as part of an exchange.

Always fun to bash something one doesn't like, but the fact happens to be that she chose to end the show, it wasn't cancelled by the CW for lack of ratings.

I don't know if anyone aired it in Chicago before WGN-TV. WGN-TV didn't start airing Tyra until this season. They wanted something else in the afternoon timeslot instead of having back to back Maury. I don't know if WGN-TV will air the best of Tyra after the 2009/2010 season, or air something else. If they can't find something else right away, they might either go back to back with Maury again, or maybe back to back with Rachel Ray ??? . That's one person I don't want to see back to back, much less on at all.

I did however like the episode where she tried to be a dude ;D. She fooled a number of guys, but some women were suspicious. Now Tyra is a lot tamer, though I don't like most of her show topics, since it's aimed toward women.

Was Jeanine Pirro on your local CW station? In Chicago, since it's been on, it's been on both WFLD (Fox) & WPWR-TV (My). Currently, reruns are on WPWR-TV, and the newest (& most recent reruns) are on WFLD. WGN-TV is the CW affiliate in Chicago. Most shows that air during the daytime are syndicated, and that would include Judge Jeanine Pirro.

WBPG-TV (now WFNA-TV), the CW Television Network in the Mobile-Pensacola TV Market, aired "Judge Jeanine Pirro" during its first TV season until it moved to syndication, in which WJTC-TV, an independent station, started broadcasting it. "The Tyra Banks Show" aired previously on WJTC-TV and WALA-TV, which is co-owned with WFNA-TV.

I've heard it joked that Tyra is the new Oprah, guess not anymore except that both shows are ending. Maybe there is truth in that statement after all.

Well, they say that these things usually come in threes. How are Wendy Williams' ratings?

Her initial ratings were pretty crappy, except in New York City. Media Life Magazine describes the debut from this summer: http://www.medialifemagazine.com/artman2/publish/Dayparts_update_51/Dud_debut_for_talker_Wendy_Williams.asp

Despite tepid ratings, this show must be pretty cheap to produce because Fox picked it up through the 2011-2012 season. Here's my source: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/television/news/e3i57734942e3ef850e1f06a2efa2bea25c

The whole thing has me shaking my head, because she's just awful. Then again she's even WORSE on the radio, yet New Yorkers seemed to like her. Honestly, I just don't get it...... ???
