Tyra's "final week"

That's what the promos say, and the very last episode is this Friday....That said, what will become of The CW Daytime?

Syndicated Springer and Maury garbage, infomercials and judge shows. Book it.

Gee, I wonder what's going to replace the giant "Tyra" poster at the WPIX building here in New York...

Tyra's show is notworthy as it's the only show ever made that after you watch it you're actually dumber than before you watch it ;D

Now that Tyra's show is going off the air, I wonder what Joel McHale and The Soup guys do for material...

A huge 11 would probably be good. At least they wouldn't need to keep changing that.

They actually already have a shrine to past incarnations of WPIX in that same area, including a tribute to the old "11 Alive." I ought to take a picture next time I'm in that area, camera in tow.

I'm going to go to Google street view right now so I can take a look.

You can actually see the sides of buildings now? Still, good luck, because you'll have to be inside the sidewalk to get a glimpse of the lobby. You might see the current station's logo outside the building, though (currently, only the "11" numeral held over from their old "CW 11" logo, but no "PIX" was ever put before it)...

I don't know what day WGN-TV is gonna air the final episode, but it's not today. They're airing the Chicago Cubs playing against the St. Louis Cardinals. Unless it's being aired during the overnight hours, TV Guide lists infomercials for much of the overnight hours after Maury.

Tyra aftermath

Now that her show has ended, Wikipedia has stated that the future of The CW Daytime was "unknown"....So what will become Tyra's replacement?

I'd have to believe that will last until at least September. Even Peanuts comic strips get stale after awhile.

For now, there are two hours of The Best of Tyra every weekday.

The BEST of Tyra?!? Talk about an oxymoron! Television programming for IQs of 75 or less.

My personal view on the "final week" of this show is summed up as follows: good riddance!

I'll say what I said before: Tyra leaving the air is like the "tree falling in the forest" question: if a TV show that no one watched goes off the air, would anyone notice? Nothing against Tyra, but the only "buzz" her show ever generated was when she appeared wearing her Sports Illustrated swimsuit, and that was just a dig at her critics.

Just because most of the posters here didn't watch her doesn't mean the no one else did. It would be better to say that we (mostly men among the posters here) aren't in her demographic.
