U.S. Supreme Court takes sledgehammer to Federal regulatory structure

Relevant to this discussion, here are four former FCC commissioners talking about what the supreme court decision means for future FCCs:

It's funny to me how the republican fears all the potential changes a democratic president could do. But in another article, a legal expert says all the new powers the court has given this president could easily be reversed and taken away by the very same court.

I agree with both articles. The current conservative majority, believing that past Supreme Court decisions have been partisan favoring Democrats, are determined to "reverse" that trend. There have been calls from some progressive circles that the next Democratic president should "pack" the U.S. Supreme Court to make sure this doesn't happen, but I highly doubt that the U.S. Senate, even one controlled by Democrats, would go along with that idea.

With regard to the FCC, the next Democratic administration will most likely try to get rid of Carr but keep Olivia Trust. (I hope I remembered how to spell her name correctly.) While she has voted with Carr on most issues, she has not gone out of her way to inflame the opposition as Carr has.
