What can you tell me about this new option from AT&T?

Is it stable?

How's the picture quality?

Is it here to stay?

Just curious, received a flyer in the mail and offers a nice selection of channels but I don't have a landline therefore if I bundled would I have to pay for U-Verse, DSL and phone service or just U-Verse and DSL?

Just some questions that come to mind, thx.

Follow the link to the forums section, and you'll get all kinds of "real world" comments from those who have tried it. Even has things divided up by market, much like the site you're on right now.

U-Verse is FTTN (Fiber to the node) while competitor Verizon FIOS is FTTP (Fiber to the premisis.) U-Verse relies on the old copper wiring for the final link to your home, while FIOS is fiber all the way.

Biggest talking points on the forums: U-Verse looks good in SD, but has bandwidth issues in HD. Also software/functionality issues with some of the equipment. Still new technology, so plenty of bugs are cropping up.

U-Verse isn't in my neighborhood yet, but is very close by. Pricing is attractive, compared to Comcast and their latest rate increase.
