I know they are all Cox Media stations, however, I'm curious why they need to broadcast the exact same football programming on 3 signals all within the same listening area? 95.5,106.1 and 103.7....

95.5 and 106.1 overlap quite a bit but don't cover the same area. 95.5 gets intown a lot more.
Now, 103.7...their coverage area is entirely within 95.5's. I'm not sure why Cox puts UGA sports on 103.7...UNLESS it's to keep it out of the hands of Jacobs/WDUN by having it on a station actually in the "Gainesville" market (not sure why 95.5 or 106.1 wouldn't qualify). There was a lot of bad blood and butthurt when WDUN lost UGA to Cox.
A few years ago IMG took over UGA Football, because for awhile Joel Williams as the producer, then he was gone,103.7 use to be the rock station in Athens, then they moved it up to Gainsville.
