Well, isn't that special. :

Unless it has changed since I signed my contract, Munson will only be on home games and no pregame or post game coverage like the network. Also, this was part of a SEC contract.
Now, how will it affect the network? From the standpoint of WRPG, not much since the station covers areas that XM sales are not that great. (If they complain about paying $2.78 per gallon gas, what makes you think paying $9.99 and up per month will fly as much here?) The larger cities may have more of a challenge, but not too much. When the 350,000 population covered under the WRPG coverage area becomes more than 25% subscribers, then I may be concerned. Actually, even then I will be doing what I need to do to make the station relevant - with or without any college or pro team. Besides, from a standpoint of a working Radio Programmer, I'm ready for about anything.
Remember that the UGAA is where the dollars go to and they are not going to do anything to lose Radio Network dollars. They want more from all areas and right now, XM is a hot button. Kinda like Xanga before MySpace and Facebook (I'm on both and so are the stations). It's not these outside factors that will kill radio, it's our fear of the unknown and individuals only doing this for the money. If I hear from one more "What do I get out of it" has-been, I swear I'll lose my nice guy image. That's another topic for another day.
