Ugly TV station logos

Some stations are blessed with better graphic design taste than others. Here's the first of the "others":

13 WMAZ Macon GA. Unusually bad considering it's a TEGNA (former Gannett) station. http://www.13wmaz.com/

(if responding with a nomination, please post a link pointing to the station's home page or other doc that shows the logo)

The worst I've ever seen was WGN America's back in 2008, I found it quite creepy: http://i.imgur.com/7p9XSb2.jpg
It only lasted a few months so I wasn't the only one who hated it. Imagine trying to watch a show and there's a pair of eyes staring at you from the corner of the screen.

I spent too much time in the hospital during the summer of 2006, and watched a lot of cable TV. Those creepy eyes were on WGN America back then! Funny thing was beyond their Chicago 9 PM newscast, I ignored nearly everything on WGN America.

It looked like a logo that an anime service would use, not WGN America. Crunchyroll could use it and, um, nobody would bat an eye.

As recent logos go...

-this short-lived KTVH-KBGF monstrosity is bad
-KOB's 4 isn't flattering
-Neither is WFMJ

WFXT Fox 25 Boston. Unbelievably cheesy and "small market" for a former Fox O&O...

https://m.facebook.com/fox25news

All that really differentiates it from Fox 5 (NYC) are the missing spotlight beams. Maybe non-O&O's can't use them. Otherwise, the logo has the dominant Fox News Channel colors of red, black and blue and the type font is Fox-style as well. How is it "unbelievably cheesy and small market"? Other than adding the spotlight beams to the blue background, what could Fox 25 do differently and still get across the "Yes, we are Fox" message?

I never liked the logo for Richmond, Virginia's WRIC channel 8. They should go back to the TV 8 logo when they were WXEX back in the 80s.

One of my pet peeves is channels that go only by their call letters and not a channel number. Therefore, any TV station that only refers to themselves by their call letters automatically has an ugly logo to me. :)

Wait KTXL Fox 40 Sacramento is a Tribune owned station but uses some of the Fox O&O look though.

WPXI in Pittsburgh (may have been WIIC at the time) had a logo which incorporated the channel number "11"
into the word "eleven". It looked something like this.

e11even

So of course every grade school kid in the tri-state area started spelling eleven with TWO L's.
Drove all the English teachers nuts!!

What about the Hearst statons?! All of them call themselves by their call letters, WPBF, WESH, WYFF, WCVB, you get it, even the newly Hearst-owned WJCL in Savannah!:eek: Except for, KHBS/KHOG in NW Arkansas (that would be a mouthfull to say on air as a name for the station), WKCF (CW affiliate), and KQCA in Sacramento (it's a MyTV affiliate).
