Said teammate was trying to renegotiate a contract he had signed in good faith. If he didn't want to play under that contract, he shouldn't have signed it. Favre was within his rights to remind the guy of his obligations to others.

I agree it would have been good of him to do, but that isn't what he or any player is paid for. They're paid to play, not to nursemaid rookies. That's what coaches are for.
