I just heard a version of Umbrella on an AC station. It didn't have that rap in the beginning, and in my opinion had a softer sound. I actually enjoyed it a bit more. Anyone know where I can get it?
 
There were a number of acoustic covers of Umbrella done, one of the more notable ones from Mandy Moore. Perhaps that's the one you heard, although there's no way to be sure unless you can match those up. Another artist that had a sort of indie hit last year also did a remake, although I can't recall her name right off-hand.
