unannounced format changes

I'm curious if anyone has just decided to record an airchech without knowing anything about what was going on and gotten a format change with having know knowledge of the change ahead of time?

When I was airchecking the National EAS test last November on B95.5 in Albany, I just happened to catch their Christmas flip last year ;) Nearly jumped out of my seat because of it...

No but I wish I did, on two occasions. The first one was when I went back to Houston on Greyhound from San Antonio the morning of 10-31-2003 (one week after 102.7 KTFM flipped to K-Rock). It was 106.7 Jamz, I was listening to they had Micheal Jackson Thriller playing followed by commercials, after the commercial break was over, A voice over announced the New Z-1067 Not just some of hits all of them, first song played "Where is the Love" by the Black Eyed Peas. Around 10 AM, or so.

Second one, March 2008 94.1 KTFM about a close to midnight, I knew something was different when they started heavily playing "Under My Umbrella" along with hip hop tracks of today mixed in with 80s pop. I sounded like all the crap the other radio stations play, they called it Adult Rhythmic CHR. Might as well call it Urban AAA, as AAA music is crap in my opinion.
