Isn't radio in 2008 wonderful? 1340 WROD,Daytona Beach was just sold....figure I'll give a listen to see if they changed formats yet-since they run Satellite anyways.
Well,here is what I heard....10:00-10:05 PM ABC NEWS,10:05-10:09 DEAD AIR,10:09 PM (A Male Voice) 1340 WROD,10:10 PM a 4 Minute Stop Set,10:14 PM More CONTINUOUS DEAD AIR.

It is unique...gives ya time to reflect between COMMERCIAL SETS.

I wonder if their STUNTING or if SIMIAN is having Problems hooking up to the Satellite Feed.If there was a HUMAN BEING IN STUDIO.....no,this is 2008.

Right now I am hearing ABC NEWS Closed Circuit Feeds. This is neat!

I was listening to 105.1 the other night and heard dead air for about ten minutes....

You would've NEVER heard dead air on the old BJ-105!!!!!

I heard some dead air like that as well. It caught me by surprise because I thought they voicetracked. Where's Laura Frances?

Sometimes a missing + will cause Simian to stop dead in its tracks-Voice Tracked or not.It could be a Song,An Imager,A Commercial-If the little + is missing from the CUE Column it STOPS.The most likely case is a Song,Commercial or Liner that is added from EVENT BUILDER after the Log is already loaded.(Been There,Done That!)

I've been hearing Laura Frances Middays on WOCL (Sounds Voice-Tracked) does she do a shift for WOMX as well?

Something wasn't potted up through the automation software.

WROD was sold for $775,000 to Volusia County Broadcasters. I think they're part of Sunshine Wireless Co. It's sister WSBB was sold for signifcantly less, some where in the $100,000 to $200,000 range. Gore-Overgaard (WROD) bought it not very long ago from TK for close to half a million if memory serves.
