Unattended Transmitter Companies

I have been researching companies that remotely monitor unattended transmittter facilities. Do you all know of any and do you have recommendations? All thoughts and suggestions welcome.

I'm sure your boss wants all parameters read, recorded and filed every 3 hours and is willing to pay,, oh, maybe $30.00 per month... with another 5 bucks for postage....

Right?

With the ability of the latest remote control offerings from Burk, Davicom etc. why would you even bother to do this? I manage numerous sites and can connect to most of them via my iPhone. They call and email me when there is a problem. Even my Nautel can send me a message without the remote if I want it to, and it has a built in web browser.

You could set up a PC to run the remote software for all the stations in the group and then log in via VNC and look at them all.

What remote(s) do you have in place?

Flash Technology has a service to monitor tower lights and with the FCC rules being the way that they are now, it is left to the licensee to insure by what ever means the station is operating in compliance by remote or otherwise. Tower lights being the most critical parameter in today's world....

The other post here are all valid.

Best regards,

Listen to Watt and J Boyd. All the current remote controls I'm aware of have either included or as an option a call - out accessory. We use the Burk ARC-16 wehich does this well with the voice module in the RF plant units. I believe Sine Systems also has such an accesory available. Thos etwo cover the majority of remotes out there these days I believe.

If I had Flash Tech or TWR strobes I'd use their alarm, they're fairly reliable. If I had Eggs - at least the old -123 system, I'd turn up a different alarm. Theirs tended to be unreliable.
