UNBELIEVABLE DESPERATION FROM RXP

They're .9 in PPM; they're selling spots for $30 at night; and they're still purveying the same sad marketing, confused programming, and delusional implementation strategies that have made them the radio joke of the year.

Yes, RXP has hit bottom folks, but ya gotta love 'em... 'CAUSE THEY JUST KEEP ON DIGGING!!!

They've just given a weekly two-hour show to a major media buyer:

Cast your vote as to why the RXP braintrust made this move!

1. The buyer is an undiscovered programming genius whose vision and insight will save the station.
2. The buyer has a devoted following of millions of listeners who will tune him in religiously - and then remain tuned in for the entire week.
3. The buyer will steer his clients' ad buy dollars to RXP.

WHADDAYA THINK, EVERYBODY???

"3. The buyer will steer his clients' ad buy dollars to RXP."

Not likely. How long would they continue to be his clients if he squandered their money like that?

I think another RXP thread thats making the board blah.

RXP can start an ad campaign in Atlantic City to get listeners who can pick up the station a few days a year on tropo. Oh wait, they already advertise in AC!

Rich Russo-isn't he an old comrade of Pinfield's from WHTG?

That's a big company apparently-from what they say anyway. Anyone know what Mr. Russo's actual part is in all that?

Not uncommon for stations to advertise in getaway locations... they have 100% share of voice there most of the time.

And we've seen how successful that marketing campaign has been for them....

Good for Rich Russo. He gets a fun once-a-week gig that won't get old for him, because it'll only last a matter of weeks before the a) sale, b) LMA, or at least c) format change.
