Sure, I'll make a comment here.
I can barely remember it, but I believe it was on or about my 5th birthday in 1962 (maybe '63) when my parents bundled me up early one morning and drove me to Cincinnati to be on the Uncle Al Show.
Again, the memories are very foggy, but I remembered having a lot of fun in that TV studio as we danced and hokey-pokeyed on television. My grandparents (who had the big console RCA color TV with an antenna on the roof that could get Cincy TV from Dayton) were thrilled. I just remember the whole thing as a very positive experience.
On behalf of the, probably, tens of thousands of kids who had the same experience I had, God bless you, Al Lewis. Wanda, my sympathies...but take heart in the fact that there are thousands of us (former) kids who are grateful to both of you for caring about us. You're in our hearts and our prayers.
