Uncle Vito Deserves Better Than What This Board Is Giving Him

Please, Leave Uncle Vito Alone
He has survived how many entire
staff overhauls in the bunker,
never mind how many morning show
teams or managements/ownerships
he has had to endure.

I met him in his "RD" days &
as an aspiring radio person
thought he was a nice guy.

The fact you are throwing
him under the bus with Kricket
& company shows either jealousy
over him or you are not happy
about where you are yourselves.

I'd have to agree. Vito is an icon in this town, like it or not.

And with all the PFK's coming along year after year and doing some *really* bad radio, how can anybody with a conscience pick on what Vito does everyday? IMO, he's got one of the least offending shows on the air in this market. And as we all know, if you're not bringing in the numbers, you won't be there 20 years. Vito has paid his dues, and owes nothing to anybody talking smack about him on this board.

Vito is one of the reasons I got into radio and more than that he's one of the main reasons I've stay'd in radio. I haven't worked with him in years, But I know he's always there with advice when I need him. He's not just a good jock he's a great guy!

Thanks

It's things like these posts from Chuck, Andrew, Barbaloot and toomuch that make it all worthwhile. I have never thought that I was anything special and I have never believed that I was a very good jock. My biggest shortcoming is that I want everyone to like me and that just isn't going to happen. I have loved music since I can remember and I love sharing it with other people and I've tried to help those I could who shared my passion along the way. So thanks again to those who wrote the nice stuff and to the rest, good luck in whatever you do.

And finally, I am not an icon. I AM THE "LIVING LEGEND" OF CAPITAL LAND RADIO!

Hail, Hail Uncle Vito. Never met the guy but he's an icon of Albany radio. When you can survive all the changes in a market and station, you must be doing something right. From one broadcaster to another: Viva Uncle Vito!
