I was listening to Oldies 92.1 FM, WVLT today. They sounded really good.
More than ever, I don't get all the fascination with a pip-squeek Newark Oldies stations playing a canned, syndicated oldies format. 92.1 FM is independent, locally-owned, has local-live jocks, local news, commercials for local businesses and FM sound. It's got a good mix of Oldies and Real Oldies. It's been around with this format for some time. In contrast 1260 has a lousy AM signal and keeps changing formats and people keep giving it praise it does not deserve (and 92.1 does).
