Undocumented Residents Winning Contests

Interesting story out of Chicago where SBS isn't giving a winner the car she won because she's undocumented; She has no SSN or TIN. For tax purposes, she needs that for SBS to report it to the IRS, but I find the story interesting.

Is this a situation Spanish stations dead with regularly? How is it typically handled? The same?

Just curious...
 
It is now being reported on Chicago radio news that the woman or family is going to sue the station.
