Unforgettable WJNA gets award for promos with most hyperbole

If there was such an award, I would nominate WJNA for recognition for the promos with the most hyperbole. (That's Greek for BS.)

They're still using that annoying promos about the biggest music library in south Florida and "almost every song ever recorded" but I heard Puff The Magic Dragon twice today. This afternoon and a few minutes ago.

A couple of weeks ago, I heard the same song three times in one day. I suppose if I listened more, I'd complain more.

For you deejays out there, how small a rotation would require playing the same song twice in one day? I'm guessing 20 songs an hour for 24 hours is 480, but I suspect that's too simplistic an answer.

Let's see ... if they had 10,000 songs in their library, they could go about three weeks without repeating.

Local radio is really going to hell. I even miss Howard Stern!

Remember, just because a station CLAIMS to have the biggest music library in South Florida doesn't mean they have to USE IT.

Unforgettable WJNA is now ADULT HITS

It gets funnier. Today I heard a promo saying their
library is so big, they don't have to repeat anything
for two days "unless we want to."

TWO DAYS!?!

That must have been tongue-in-cheek, because even my
small CD library will last for two days (48 CDs).

Ya never know. Every promo on that station sounds
like they're talking down to morons. Wish I knew why.

BTW, now they're calling themselves ADULT HITS. I
noticed it earlier this week. Their version of Jack,
it seems.

Have you seen WJNA 640?
