Unhappy Packer Backer

As I drove home from work in Fantana/Lake Geneva, I wanted to hear the home-team call of the Packers on WTMJ. Since The change signal patterns after sunset, the signal was so poor I couldn't follow a thing. I knew I was too far for Janesville's WCLO or Madison's WIBA-AM, but I tried anyway with no luck. As I neared Lake Geneva, I lost WIBA-FM to an Antioch, IL LP station. I gave up on the home-team call & looked for anyone carrying the game. I had to go all the way to WWL (AM 870 in New Orleans) for play-by-olay. It is a sad day when you have to tune out of state to hear the Pack

Before anyone mentions it, my car radio only goes down to 87.9, so Fox 6 audio was not an option.

What to do?

Yeah, Lake Geneva is kind of a radio black hole. My wife and I were out there a couple years ago and were trying to catch a Badger game on the radio, but it was next to impossible -- everything was just out of range (WIBA-AM, WIBA-FM, etc.).

Too late to help now, but I think WJVL 99.9 FM from Janesville is a member of the Packers Radio Network and you might be able to pick it up in Lake Geneva. It's too bad that the one and only Lake Geneva station (WLKG 96.1) doesn't carry the Pack, or that Milwaukee doesn't have an FM affiliate.

Go Bears, :)

You went all the way to New Orleans to hear a sports station?

Yes, icycool7227 & Brian Stevens:
Don't worry about it. I knew what you meant, and that is probably what I would have said. But, icycool7227 obviously didn't get the symbolic language. It's no different than telling someone to go to a certain web site. I wouldn't think that would mean to track down where a site originates and physically go there! Lol!

You're both right. I sit corrected. Thanx.
