UNid DX on 97.3 - need help IDing

Earlier this afternoon, around 4 PM EDT, I was getting a station on 97.3 and all I could catch of the ID was 'Hits of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and...' Of course the signal started wavering and fighting with WJZE/Oak Harbor, OH when they gave that. I heard Paul Young's 'Everytime You Go Away' followed by Heart's 'Straight On For You' I did hear an ad for a store called Leon's and another ad for Mastercard with Canadian website addresses (ended in .ca). Heard all this while driving between Avon, OH and Lorain, OH

Checked yes.com just now and CHBM's playlist does show those 2 songs I mentioned being played. Radio-locator shows this station as only 4000 watts? That's pretty good tropo DX then @ approx 200 miles as the crow flies. Thanks, crainbebo!

Leons is a furniture chain in Canada that advertises pretty regularly on radio. I get Toronto tropo very often across lake Ontario, I imagine you were getting something similar except across Erie.

4000 watts maybe, but don't they broadcast from the CN Tower, about 1,050 feet up (maybe more)? That makes up for the low wattage.

Many Toronto FM's run in the 4000 watt range, I think.

Yes many Toronto FM and TV stations use the CN Tower. It gives most FMs a HAAT of around 1380 feet and for CHBM the ERP is 28.9kw. 98.1 CHFI has the highest ERP from the CN tower at 44kw. They are also the easiest one to ID since they go by "98.1 CHFI" on air.
