Game one of the Phillies-Rays tonight, and WPHT carried it. I'm about 110 miles north of WPHT's stick, and reception is usually a clear shot. Gradually, though, dormant DX instincts overrode the baseball fervor when some station with indescribable music began to blow through the play-by-play on 1210. The music didn't sound Latin, nor gospel, nor classical, nor pop, nor country, nor anything. It was simply 'different' from anything I feel I'm apt to hear on any American station. And of course, no ID nor any talk.
The radio null of WPHT to get this station better seemed to be at right angles, so I'm thinking Mexico. KYW 1060 gets cuisinarded by a Mexican at times ; yet another station with unlikely music.
Any suggestions? Other than laying off the Schmidts while at the keyboard or the baseball dial, that is?
