Universal HD going dark today

NBCU has decided to pull the plug on Universal HD.
Today is the final day.

Strangely they are not signing off at midnight or 5AM.
They go dark at 2:30 PM Eastern after coverage of the World Diving Championships from Hungary.

Thought that was a bit strange.
