Agreed. I don't have cable, and when I saw this on a subchannel for the 1st time, I was encouraged. But the sports they show......a yawner for sure.

I know that they can't snag big sports contracts, but certainly there are other sports than cycling, swimming, marathons.....

PBA (Bowling) oughta look into this channel.....then I might watch.

This announcement leads me to wonder if it might be pulled from OTA soon, either by choice of Comcast or by affiliates dropping it since people can get the same programming on DirecTV without the local spots.

I wonder if Comcast will remove it from NBC O&O stations. It's available on WMAQ-TV 5.3 in Chicago, along with another pointless channel, Chicago Nonstop on 5.2.

Seems like they are undercutting their affiliates, who are already broadcasting it (and local ads).
Will you need to get a waiver from your local affiliate, if they already broadcast U.S.?

DIRECTV subscribers have no access to digital subchannels 99% of the time, so there wouldn't be a need to remove them from the digital subchannels.
