Univision COO says HD is going to explode on us.

I like this one too:

"The topic today is the future of audio-anchored advertising, formerly known as radio." hahahaha!

I wonder if attitudes like this could have something to do with the troubles radio is facing nowadays?

So far, it's just been plodding.

It's too bad they don't take all the money they plan on wasting on IBUZ and try to hire some TALENT and MANGEMENT worth the powder to blow them to hell. They have woefully forgot that it's the quality of the content not the tech specs that keep and gain listenership.

The Hispanic sector (referring to the quote that started this thread) is the only one growing in radio, calculated to be over three times the growth rate of "the rest" of radio this year. Interestingly, this is the sector where it is far less common to find dayparts without major talent. And you don't get significant growth without good management.

Do you think they might be on to something? I do.

Yeah, entertaining, fun radio with good talent and no voicetracking. Who'd uh thunk!

And then there's WQBU.....with practically no live deejays outside of Piolin (network) and Gabriel Pino in the mid-days/early afternoons. :-\

What's taking so long?

*grumbles* there's a reason I'm sticking with engineering instead of programming. :p
