Univision HD?

I've noticed in other postings that cable providers are planning to launch HD feeds of some Univision affiliates this month. Does anyone else know anything about this?

Do any Univision affiliates run local HD? WUVN-DT channel 18 (actual 46) of Hartford doesn't have a single HD show on the air.

Neither Univision, nor Telefutura air a single program in HD in Chicago. Neither channel is setup for HD either, as I still use my old NTSC TV with converter box, and have it set for letterbox. So I know if they were setup for HD or not. Both stations are basically simulcasting each other on each other's subchannel. WGBO is also on RF 50.2, but has PSIP set to 66.2, & WXFT simulcasting on RF 38.2, but has PSIP set to 60.2. My PC TV tuner card (separate from my converter box, which only displays PSIP channels) goes by RF channel, which is why I know they're simulcasting on each other's subchannel.

Telemundo station WSNS is setup for HD, but only select primetime programming is actually HD, while the rest of the day, they air programming in SD.

On my Time Warner system here in L.A., the HD feed of Univision flagship-and-therefore-O&O KMEX will be added to channel 400 and co-owned Telefutura affiliate KFTR's HD feed will be added to channel 399 on December 10.

Univision is supposed to launch HD in the near future.

Not just that, but they also added East Coast feeds of both networks most recently. Univision is on Channel 800, Telefutura is 801. I kinda find it strange as that you already have local outlets of both network already available, and yet they added Eastern feeds.

Better late than never, I suppose. Has me wondering when Comcast here in the Chicago 'burbs will add the HD feed of our local UNI and TFT affiliates. Right now, it's only offered on the basic tier and the video quality is the pits. No HD feed of Telemundo here yet either.

Every other sizable local (basically except for one religious channel and a PBS from IN) in this market is offered in an HD or pure digital feed.

Apparently, Univision HD and TeleFutura HD has arrived in my area, except that TWC is not showing those channels where I am (southern Manhattan). Score one for the OTA viewers, I guess.
