At around 12:17am or 12:18am...an unidentified station on 106.1 played The Fray's "How To Save A Life".

Can anyone identify what station this is on 106.1?

It could be KHKS Denton - there was quite a temperature inversion over Texas yesterday.

New station in Oliver Springs, they call themselves "the River". not to be confused with 100.3 when they were the river, different format.

Also, if you're in southern KY it could be new station in Science Hill,KY "Somerset 106"

That came to my mind, too. Looking at yes.com, KHKS didn't play "How To Save A Life" on 6/20/09 at 11:18pm Central Time. Plus, given that it is a slower nearly 3 year old track, I doubt a CHR like KHKS would play it that time of the night.

They have been running it regularly, I probably heard it 3 or 4 times over a 4 day visit up there. KRBE in Houston is also playing it regularly. I suspect it is undergoing a revival on the charts or something. The yes.com log doesn't lie - but there is another possibility. Like so many top-40 stations, they play a dance DJ mix late at night, with bits and pieces of everything. I was actually listening to them the time in question - I can't positively say they played it, or a piece of it, at 11:18 - but I do know it was continuous dance mix and it might have been in there. Yes.com couldn't possibly account for all the bits and pieces of songs during that dance mix.
