Unlikely advertisers for sporting teams

This was the first day of baseball, and while listening to the Mariners game on the radio I noticed ads for the local Union Gospel Mission. They've been a frequent sponsor of Mariners baseball for the last few years, which is odd for a charity. What local sports teams also have advertisers that you wouldn't expect.
 
The Vitae Foundation, an alliance of Catholic crisis pregnancy centers, has long been a sponsor of the St. Louis Cardinals Radio Network.
 
I don't know if they specifically advertise on sports, but in Knoxville TN the Knox Area Rescue Ministries and Second Harvest Food Bank advertise a lot. They take whatever free media they can get as well but the paid part is important, especially to attract donors
 
It's not a play-by-play broadcast, but whenever KDKA-AM airs a sports report or scores they
tag it as coming from "The Winer Wellness Center Sports Desk."

The Winer Wellness Center is an alternative natural health clinic that was run by a chiropractor named Dr. Winer. He passed away suddenly in December, but the clinic apparently remains open and is now sponsoring things.

Without an explanation you might think it's an irreverent men's health clinic.
