UNPLUGGED VS. AMERICAN IDOL

I just like to know about the shows Unplugged & American Idol. Unplugged was the most popular name in the last decade, while American Idol is the most talked about name in popular culture today. In fact they had an episode in Swat Kats called "Swat Kats Unplugged" & that episode was named after the show. Does that have to do something that the party of Clinton brought you "Unplugged", while the party of Bush brought you "American Idol"? In fact Unplugged was the most popular music show on the airwaves at the same time when Clinton was it's peak of it's popularity & the Republicans came to congress 12 years ago, but now it's not. Unfortunately GWB won the presidency & a year & a half later, "American Idol" went on the airwaves & it became the most popular music variety show of all time, replacing "Unplugged". If it weren't for GWB winning those two elections, than maybe Unplugged would have still been on the airwaves on MTV & that still would've been a much more popular show than "American Idol". BRING BACK UNPLUGGED in 2009!

Quite frankly, I think you're onto something... Just think about the last music show that was popular before those two: "Star Search". Under whose Presidency did that show debut? Ronald Reagan!

Eerie...
