Unusual AM DX

While driving along I-75 last week, I heard a few unusual stations. I've heard some before, but not in a while, and not as well.

560 WFIL
600 WMT
810 WHB

All were on day pattern and were heard within an hour of local sunset.

When I was in college in northeast Ohio, 20-some years ago, I heard WMT during the daytime. Once was late one afternoon in November or December, so just like your catches, within an hour of sunset as well. WHO was there as well.
WHB and WFIL seem like surprising catches, too. Where on I-75 were you?

I was within 30 miles or so of West Branch. WHB was solid and alone, with no WGY. WFIL had some interference, probably from CFOS as it was right before official local sunset. It could have been WRDT but as I recall, there was music. At first I thought it was WIND, but they have the Salem talk format. When you get near West Branch from the north, you start to get WSNL with WMT, but where I heard it WMT was still on day pattern and quite strong. One confusing aspect of the sunset times is that as you get further north this time of year, sunset times are earlier than areas further east. I ran into that a couple weeks ago when checking some sunset times and one in Virginia was later than one in Michigan.

Almost thirty years ago I picked up a high school basketball game over WAKR Akron one evening. I had never heard that station before, and never heard it since.
