There are few STARS in radio at all anymore. You see when jocks do personality and listeners become attached to them, they become valuable and the company that owns the station has to PAY them.... OUCH.Also if you go to station A and become a star, then there is always the chance that station B (even with a non compete) can steal youand the listeners away with a better contract.So...The brains at corporate stations kind of decided it would just be cheaper for everyone to operate if all the stations were BORING.Plus...where can a new jock train?Overnights (lots of people listen then-or use to), and weekends are automated now. Unless the sales wieners scrounge up a car remote.SoTHERE ARE NO NEW RADIO STARS!There may never be. Except on Satellite, which is becoming a joke like Satellite (commercial-free?) TV.Because...they are finding out that they have to play commercials to pay the bills...Isn't life grand?
