Let's hear what you like, what you don't like, and what you'd do differently about every station up and down the dial. Are there jocks that you'd move around or remove completely? Are there part timers you'd slip into full time slots or would you hire out of market? What do you think of morning shows, middays, afternoons and nights? Would you re-format some of these shows? What would you do if you had total control? Let's go right from GNA(107.7) to the Saint (88.3). This ought to be interesting.<P ID="signature">______________

88.3: go back to the days when it was 6 hrs urban, then 6 hrs rock
92.3:more rhythmic and dance, lots of changes needed here from Christy to format to many to list.
93.7: there still on the air???
94.5: music selection isnt bad needs to be tweaked a little, more on air personalities...get rid of JR....
95.5: better music selection...remember when Chris Holmberg ran B....great station...now its going down the drain, pesonality wise its decent
96.3: dont listen to the station cant help you out
98.3: better rotation of music get deeper into the archives, local jocks as well
99.5: cant complain about the music only wish that they didnt voicetrack
100.9: great format decent jocks, This is Morrell's baby right here
102.3: eventually will overtake fly,jock wise I think they need some work, sounds like a bunch of teenagers on the radio.
102.7: gone more into the retro alternative better music wise than they used to be which I like..also the jocks are not that entertaining need some work there
103.1: will they overtake the edge....music wise just ok,jock wise fair need some work here gets stale sometimes
103.5/103.9: where do I start? New PD sounds like he tweaked the format just a bit which is good,station was starting to sound stale , better jocks needed in some places...Brody has potential to be good....work needs to be done here, music and jock wise, wait til they lose Stern!!!!
104.5: Music rotation is on the way up, move aj into a different slot, put Shawn back on the mornings....new jocks for the most part
106.5: This rotation needs work big time!!! Wolf has got to go and the only jock on ther I can really listen to is Vito, Pat Kelly is a good all around jock but nights arent for him.
107.7: Switch Kevin and Lou back to where they were, not much else here if it aint broke dont fix it.

Wow, Thank God for Vito or Albany radio would suck! Otherwise two stations rate "decent" jocks and everyone else is sub par. Good to have an expert on the board.

I didn't break it down "station for station" because I only listen to about 5 stations in the market. However, with 38 stations listed (yes, many are voicetracked or just use sweepers) I find it hard to believe that only two have "decent" jocks. Several "very good" jocks get mentioned on this board regularly with Uncle Vito leading the pack.

Amazing isn't it? We should all emulate Vito! Uh yuh! Don't forget he's been on the radio for 20 years. Jack Nicholson said it best in Batman "This town needs an enema!". This site flames too much to really have lists like this. A better question might be "Where do you see the Albany Radio market on 1/1/06?". There's going to be some mighty big changes very soon, what are peoples thoughts? Is anyone working at the EDGE worried about job security? How will the Fly vs KISS battle go in '06? Things like that. These lists are silly and serve no purpose. Let's discuss real happenings in the market.
