Upcoming Format Trends?

Does anyone foresee any new and exciting format trends out there? Right now the landscape seems fairly boring. I wouldn't mind seeing a 90's Pop Alternative station, but with a Mix like WBMX did over 10 years ago, no pun intended.

Another format that I would like to see is someone to challenge WMJX and to a lesser extent, the top 40/Hot AC monopoly that seems to exist here too.

Your thoughts, opinions?
