KANW, the Albuquerque Board of Education's NPR member station, requested and was granted call letters for a couple of CPs under construction.
The CP for Española at 91.1, which will replace the "KANW-2" translator K216GQ, has been assigned KAQW-FM. It will have coverage in Santa Fe. The translator already reaches there, but the full-power class C2 station should provide a better signal into Santa Fe.
A CP for Jarales at 89.5, which appears intended to cover Interstate 25 between Belen and Socorro, has been assigned KAHW-FM.
