I know, I know. It's been a while since we've heard about the WB/UPN merger, but I had to share this with you.
First I got in contact with WLFL (WB 22)/WRDC (UPN 28) in Raleigh/Durham inquiring about the merger. At this time, they said, no one from Sinclair's corporate offices has contacted the two stations at this time.
Then I phoned WRAZ (Fox 50) in the same market and asked them if they were planning any affiliation switch, and the lady on the phone said there were no future plans to dump Fox.
Which of course leads to my personal speculation that either WLFL or WRDC will more likely affiliate with the CW. My money is on the former, though I always wished that Fox would return to channel 22.
We won't know for sure until late spring or early summer, but the lineup may look like this:
WLFL 22 (CW)
WRDC 28 (Independent)
Just thought you'd like to know this.
