Update on Dick Bartley's radio shows

The final Rock 'n' Roll's Greatest Hits distributed by ABC Radio Networks aired last night (ELO was the spotlight), and the final American Gold should be airing this weekend. It looks like the former show will keep it's title, but the latter will be changed to The Classic Countdown. Also, the request show will have a new request line (1-888-989-1975). And both shows will have a tweakage in years (late 1960s to early 1980s)

The early 1980s had some great songs that still fit into the good old rock and roll era. I don't know whether I will be able to hear Dick's programs after this weekend's last ABC programming, which featured Electric Light Orchestra spotlight and 1975 Classic Countdown spotlight (f/k/a American Gold); however, if this weekend was any indication of what is forthcoming it is going to be wonderful. He's happy to be home again, and that is a good thing.

Thank you for the update. Rock on!
