Update on previous WCVB post "Coming in February"

Just saw the new updated promo and we now know more of whom or what is coming in February.

"Team 5 Investigates"..which appears to be nothing much more than a new version of an investigative team staffed by current 5'ers Janet Wu, Susan Wornick, Sean Kelly (who is somewhat new to WCVB), Kelley Tuthill (who has moved off the weekend morning news and back to reporting), Rhondella Richardson (who has not moved off the weekend morning news) and maybe 1 or 2 others I cant recall at the moment.

But I'm sure the promo will air 8 or 900 more times in the next 2 weeks so you can all have a chance to see it ;o)

From the brief flash of staffer pictures (Janet, Susan, Sean, etc), I didnt see anyone new who might be coming aboard the station.
Edited by WMC2005 on 01/23/06 04:43 AM.

Yes, it was in the Herald over the weekend. I guess this has more
of a sweeps-only stories feel to it. I am sure when May rolls they'll
do another round of this promotion.

Anyone noticed "ABC" is back in 5's bug now that the new affiliation
agreement has been signed?

Wow, talk about selling NOTHING!
What an absolute waste of ad space...

This is what annoys me about the broadcasting business these days, taking the old and making it look like you've got something new. What frastrates me is, stations know that their veiwers (and listeners) don't pay close attention, so they take advantage of that. I wouldn't be surpised if CBS 4 one days runs a promo saying "Now, we have an evening newscast, news in the evening, just as you get home."
