Update On Steve Bartelstein's Cancer Battle

According to the New York Daily News, the anchor, who recently started doing weekends on WCBS/2, is currently battling testicular cancer, which he just learned had spread to his brain. While he remains "upbeat", Bartelstein admits he's "tired of being sick".

Bartelstein previously worked mornings at crosstown WABC/7 until he was fired last year.

Another local news personality, WPIX/11 (then-WB) sports anchor Sean Kimerling, died in 2003 at age 37 due to complications from testicular cancer.
