Do all of the WJSJ Jones airchecks feature Al Vincent?

Jones really did a nice job. If I had the pockets, I'd bring 'em back on the airwaves somehow (even if I lost $$ on the venture).

FWIW Jones still exists on a small scale at WZTK 101.1 FM in Greensboro NC on weekends (without anchors).

Here's a sample of this past Sunday's playlist. You can tell it's Jones and not that BA garbage.

And WZTK's playlist does look a lot like what JRN programmed. Did I read on this board that Dial Global provides a SJ music service minus the personalities?

I have been out of radio for about 6 years now. But I was in charge of the satellite feed at Smooth Jazz 105.1 (WASJ) here in Panama City. Loved the format and had a passion for it. Steve Hibbard even came to town for a visit once and gave advice about modulation, compression, etc. I'm basically a "classic rock" guy but loved both formats. They eventually dropped the format around 2007 (maybe?) and went to ESPN radio for a book. I wish them all the best as Riker, Hibbard, Lonnie, John Evans, etc were excellent. I guess they were sold and consolidated -- the reason I left the business (well that and no $$).
