The biggest of the two upgrades comes from KBIO 89.7-FM in Natchitoches,LA.
According to its U.S. website the station has been granted to increase its power from 500 to 10,000 watts which will reach Monroe and the rest of North Central Louisiana.

According to http://www.radio-locator.com WHJM Anna,OH 88.7-FM (transmitting from nearby Botkins) may be upping its power from 1,000 to 2300 watts. The current WHJM signal does fairly well from its 318 foot tower in Botkins in the upper Miami Valley reaching up towards Lima but fails to reach Tipp City and the other northern suburbs towards Dayton.

I've heard they've been mentioned as a possible buyer for an AM in Ohio. You probably know which one.

You possibly hit the nail on the head gr8...Still waiting to see how the current news/talk/sports format goes in the meantime and if it sells before that particular AM station is sold.

There are people in Troy,Tipp City,Urbana and surrounding areas and the Dayton area who cannot pull in 88.7 and would like to hear it on a station which reaches Dayton and Springfield.

Certainly haven't heard any new accounts. Not sure why the bank didn't pull the plug months ago.

Dunno...I knew that RM was intersted and so are some local buisinesses who want to keep it locally originating doing what it's been doing at present....network news/talk and local sports Don't know if the local business group mustered up the money or not. The owner of that AM I understand is ecumenical and would welcome the purchase by RM so it seems to be up in the air right now.

That's not all folks! Was on their website this week and it states they have applied with the FCC for ten more FM frequencies across the country...they are asking listeners to join them in praying a daily novena through the month of November for FCC approval and other RM needs.

Also they are gearing up for their global simulcast of chaplets, teaching programs, novenas,Masses and rosary recitals called "Two Days With Radio Maria....Holy Mary, Bringer of Jesus Our Hope" which will air on the Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend...most of it eminating from their base in Italy but also airing from portions of Africa and South America.
