UPN 13 in San Diego

The "UPN" in UPN13 has disappeared here in San Diego.

I can tell Bay City TV's marketing folks must have blown brain veins coming with the new identifier as TV13.

Woohoo!

> And the WB affiliate in San Francisco is back to "TV20," their handle before the WB affiliation. You'd think that the word "Channel" has been added to the FCC's list of profanities, the way it's avoided these days.

And those three TV stations have diffrent licence
holders each.

THe always identify themselves as being owned by "Bay City Television."

It is funny though, some of TV13's promo spots still have them as UPN13.

Perhaps they decided to do it now instead of waiting for the re-branding when UPN and WB merge as THE CW.

In San Diego, Entravision operates XETV/6 (Fox 6) under a LMA. They own a limited non-voting interest (and operate) XHAS/33 (Telemundo 33) and XHUPN/49 (UPN 13). They own outright LPTVs KBNT/17, KTCD/46, and KHAX/49 (Univision) and KDTF/36 (Telefutura).
______________

Does anybody know if KDTF is now broadcasting? If so, where are they broadcasting from?
______________

The FCC database says their license to cover the move to channel 36 from 31 was issued a little over two years ago.

It appears to be at the same location as KSDX-LP/29, the station retransmitting KRCA/62 Riverside.
______________
