Are all these Urban Pirate Radio stations in the Boston area.. helping, or killing the cause... of bringing a real urban Fm signal back to Boston ?

I don't know about a "cause" to bring "real" urban radio to Boston. (Who's involved with this "cause" anyway?) But I think it definately is a reflection of the fact that radio as it has evolved has not been serving the needs and interests of all - or even enough - people. And, don't discount the pirates; they ARE doing REAL radio - much more so than most of the large corporations are. Radio at it's best is live, local and relevent. Every pirate fills that bill, while a very scant few "real" stations do.

What I mean about "Real Radio" is FCC aproved signal . I had nothing against pirate stations..I think some of these urban pirate stations plays better music than Jamn ten songs, all day .

I don't think commercial radio corporations care about the programming on pirate stations one way or the other. They only care about pirates if their signals interfere with theirs.

Right. But, as usual, reality is a matter of consensus. You'd probably agree that FCC "approval" wouldn't make a pirate station "better" (except for maybe an improved signal). Why buy in to the FCC's agenda; especially now that the FCC has totally bought in to the corporations' agenda. The pirates have the people's agenda.

If you've got a good neighborhood station that is there for YOU, then the hell with the corporates.

always wrong. always illegal.

End of story. Non-negotiable. Should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law -
A FEDERAL OFFENSE...

It's bad enough this rapking is a racist (that was proven in his Anti-Entercom posts of a few weeks ago..how Entercom is screwing over the Black Man)...now he's sticking up for illegal activity such as running pirate radio stations? Give me a freakin' break.

Pancake man, do you live in Boston?
